Twenty Years Ago: Raiders Draft Charles Woodson
April 18, 2018 04:58 PM | Raiders.com Staff
Twenty years ago today, the Oakland Raiders selected the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, University of Michigan cornerback Charles Woodson with the No. 4 overall pick.

Fast forward two decades, and Woodson is not only one of the greatest players in franchise history, but you'd be hard pressed to find any defensive player in NFL history with a better career than No. 24.

In two tenures with the Silver and Black, spanning over a decade, "C. Wood" appeared in 151 games, hauling in 27 interceptions, registering eight-and-a-half sacks, two touchdowns, and 12 fumble recoveries along the way.

With a Super Bowl, an AP Defensive Player of the Year nod, nine trips to the Pro Bowl, and three All-Pro seasons, the former Michigan Wolverine put together a Hall-of-Fame career, much of it in Silver and Black, so on the 20th anniversary of Woodson entering the NFL, let's look back at some of the best moments of his career in Silver and Black.
